Meet Your Therapist

Hello,

I am Morét Freeman, the owner and therapist of Soul Purpose Counseling LLC. I was born and raised in Kansas City, KS and have a passion for helping my community. My Master’s is in counseling and I am a God-fearing, Christian woman who believes in the importance of family and healing. I come from a very close-knit family where I was taught the value of my Faith, family, and education. I truly believe that it takes a village. I have parents, siblings, friends and 5 nieces and nephews who constantly keep me on my toes. My experiences in life have taught me to continue to learn and seek knowledge, love people, accept people and find compassion and empathy for others and myself.

About Soul Purpose Counseling

Soul Purpose Counseling was created to help a wide variety of people. Our goal is to encourage infinite work in clients and support them on their journey to healing and growth. We specialize in trauma counseling, goal setting, anger management, and grief counseling. I tailor my clinical skills specifically toward each client. I treat every client, family, and couple as an individual, assessing their needs and not trying to fit them into a mold of counseling. At Soul Purpose Counseling we strive to connect the whole person through person-centered therapy.

  • “Since I have started therapy with Morét, I have opened up a lot more not only to her but to others as well. There were things I was not able to talk about or never did talk about and she made it easy for me to get those things out. She also helped me look at different sides of me and helped improve my self-perception.”

  • “I feel so much more grounded and centered after talking to Morét. She’s a voice of reason that I need after a long week and I always look forward to talking to her. I think she is an incredible resource if you are trying to find clarity in your life or looking for an outside opinion on your troubles. She has offered great insight and skills for me to practice coping in my life.”
